Where are you based?
I am lucky enough to live in the beautiful Bay Area and mainly cover Marin County, as well as San Francisco and Sonoma County locations.
What kind of photography do you specialize in?
I specialize in on-location, natural light photo sessions. The majority of my clients book me for family, maternity, and lifestyle newborn shoots. Take a peek at my galleries for a closer look at my photography style.
Do you travel?
YES! I love to travel and am always open to new destinations! (Travel expenses will apply, but the package cost will remain the same.)
What kind of photo rights do I have?
All clients are provided with the print rights to their photos. You will receive your photos digitally and free of watermarks. Kathryn G. Photography maintains full copyright to all images.
How do I receive my photos?
You will receive your professionally edited photos via digital delivery of a private online gallery. From the gallery, clients can download both a full resolution and condensed resolution images (for social media). Since you have the rights to the photos, you are welcome to share the gallery with friends and family and print and reproduce your photos. You also have the option to order prints through my professional printing lab.
How many photos will I receive?
The number of photos you receive in your gallery depends on the type of session you book. For more information, check out my current photo packages.
Can I receive the raw, unedited files?
The unedited photos are not available for purchase. The images you receive in your gallery were selected for editing and final delivery to reflect the best of your session. Rest assured that any undelivered images are truly outtakes.
Can I order prints of my images?
Absolutely! I work with a fabulous professional printing lab who will bring your images to life with gorgeous, high quality prints.
What kind of gear do you use?
I am a Canon-faithful! My camera bodies and lenses are all Canon.
How do I book a newborn session?
I photograph lifestyle newborn sessions in the comfort of your own home, and the best timing is within the first 2 weeks of your baby’s birth. Send me your estimated due date and I will block out a few session times. Once your new baby makes their debut, we will solidify one of your session dates. Read more about newborn sessions here.
What is a Day in the Life Session?
A Day in the Life session is documentary photography where I photograph a typical day, capturing those everyday moments that otherwise go undocumented. Time moves so fast, and sometimes the everyday routine, something that seems mundane, is where your most special and real memories are made. This documentary style photography is a great option for families with young children, a day with grandparents, or even for couples! Generally the session lasts anywhere from 2-4 hours. It is a relaxed session for you, because I am documenting your day exactly as it is – bedhead hair, pj’s, naps, melt-downs and all! Contact me for more information!
