Smash Cake Session |Teagan’s 1st Bday | San Rafael, CA

First birthdays are such a special milestone in the life of both the baby and the parents. Parents reflect on the first year of their child’s life and the many learning curves they have gone through! And someday their child will look back on the photos of their first birthday and smile at the sweet love that surrounded them.

I had so much fun this weekend celebrating baby Teagan’s first birthday! Her mom was so creative  and put so much love and thought into documenting this milestone. Teagan’s birthday session was complete with her newborn photo, balloons, and wooden cutouts spelling “ONE” that were apparently tasty! We ended the session with a cake smash. Teagan took her job of smashing the cake very seriously. At first a little unsure of this new activity, she soon showed her determination to really live it up by crawling right through the cake. Frosting was everywhere, just like her mama had hoped!

Happy birthday, sweet Teagan. I know you will bring your mom and dad many years of love and laughter. And hopefully plenty of cake, too!
